Our Story
Leo and Gina met online during 2021. After countless hours on the phone and dates filled with coffee, hiking, fishing and camping, they knew they were meant to be. During their two years of adventures they explored, spotting all kinds of wildlife like mmm'moo cows and mmm' bears.
In July of 2023, we went camping down in Mogote, CO with our friend Kyle. On the last morning, Leo and I woke up, packed up all of our gear and sat waiting for Kyle to finish packing up his stuff. It was a while, sitting, watching him wipe down all of his equipment, down to the tarp his tent was on. I was incredibly bored and restless, so I suggested to Leo we walk down to the river behind our camp and hangout by the water. I sat down on the sitting rock I found on the bank, while Leo stood behind me. We hung out for a while before he started up our shtick spotting animals. "Mmmm' fish?" Mind you, we were camping along a great fly fishing river, yet none of us caught anything over the three days we were there. "No, no fish. How about mmmm' bugs?" Mosquitos were killer that weekend. "Mmmm' burb?" "Yes, lots of burbs." A burb is our way of saying bird for those who may think it's a spelling mistake. "Mmmm' bear?" "Uh, no, no bea..." And before I could finish my sentence he was onto the next one. "Mmmm' marry me?" I wipped around, and he was on one knee with a ring out. "Yes, yes, yes, are you serious? YES!!!" And the rest was history! We got back to camp and I freaked out to Kyle that we were engaged, to his response "Damn it, I was supposed to start taking pictures when he said 'mmmm' bear.'"
We cannot wait to celebrate with our families and friends!
